On 9 November the Coordination Center hosted a task meeting on the rules of procedure and technical aspects of the new Terms and conditions of domain names registration in domains .RU and .РФ with the accredited registrars, As many as 36 representatives of 24 Russian registrars attended the meeting.
The meeting participants considered in detail amendments of the Terms and conditions of domain names registration in domains .RU and .РФ. Marina Nikerova, the CC’s Council Chairperson, answered questions on interaction between the CC and the registrars. Georgy Georgievsky, the Head of the Department for Interaction with the CC’s Registrars and Users, gave explanation of the organizational issues.
The meeting was also attended by Sergey Kopylov, the Head of Legal Department of the Technical Center of Internet (TCI), Alexander Scherbakov, the Head of the Technical projects of the TCI, who answered technical questions, and Andrey Kondakov, the Head of the working group on drafting proposals for amending the Terms and conditions of domain names registration in domains .RU and .РФ.
At the meeting, it was decided to introduce amendments in the draft technical policy of domains .RU and .РФ with account of comments voiced by the registrars’ representatives.
As a reminder, the new Terms and conditions of domain names registration in domains .RU and .РФ will come into force as early as 11 November 2011.
