The CC’s Board held its regular meeting on 5 October 2011. The meeting adopted the new unified Terms and Conditions of domain names registration in domains .RU and .РФ.
The draft text of the Terms and Conditions posted on the CC’s website was discussed by Russian Internet users. Their comments and recommendations were considered by the ad-hock group. Moreover, the new Terms and Conditions were audited both by professional organizations and government bodies. As a result of the discussion and audit the Terms and Conditions received amended wording.
The main objective of the new Terms and conditions of domain names registration in domains .RU and .РФ was unification of the current Terms and conditions of domain names registration in domain zones .RU and .РФ. Moreover, enhanced security of Russian domain space, regulation of secondary registration market and other issues were translated into the adopted Terms and Conditions.
After discussing the proposed draft Terms and conditions the Board members by a majority vote adopted the Terms and Conditions of domain names registration in domains .RU and .РФ complementing them with the following note: "disputes on domain names will be governed by provisions contained in the corresponding chapters of the Terms and conditions RU (Chapter 9) and РФ (Chapter 12)". The new Terms and conditions will come into effect on November 2011.
Andrey Kolesnikov, the CC’s CEO, expressed his appreciation of the work done by the members of the ad-hock group on drafting recommendations to amend the Terms and conditions of domain names registration in domains .RU and .РФ and its Head, Andrey Kondakov, as well as of all those who participated in R&C process of the Terms and conditions, criticized them and submitted their comments and recommendations.
